I had SuperPopupBlocker and it was the BEST! Now my trial is over, and my mother refuses to pay $30. She thinks I look at porn, which is a lie (btw I'm a 14 year old female, why would i look at porn?) and that's the reason why I get so many ads, pop ups, and porn pop ups. I'm the only one who uses the computer. I have the Yahoo pop up blocker, and the Yahoo Anti-Spy, but I still get these pop ups and it makes web surfing so complicated. Does someone know what I can do to stop these pop ups wthout buying anything? Please HELP ME!

Why do you get so many popups? Because you go to websites you shouldn't be at and click on things you shouldn't click on. It's usually not your fault because they intentionally try to trick you into clicking on these things. Surfing is like most things, the more you do it, the better you'll get at it. You just need to learn what to click and what not to click.
Unfortunately, now your computer is loaded with spy ware and ad ware. To fix your problems, go to www.shareware.com and download Spybot and AdAware. They're both free. Install and run both (not at the same time). That should fix everything but the most stubburn ad trojans. If you're still getting pop ups, download and install ewido anti-spyware at www.ewido.com. It will work for free the first 30 days, then you need to buy it if you want to continue to use it.
By the way, if you are running Windows XP and Internet Exporer 6.0, you don't need SuperPopupBlocker. IE 6.0 has it's own popup blocker built in.

Try spybot s&d with ad aware...it will get what ever ad aware misses and vice versa. You should be able to get both from www.download.com
If both of these don't work and you still have problems go to www.trend.com and use their free online scan that covers spyware malware and viruses.
Between these three free services you should be able to keep most if not all pop-ups off of your machine.

It sounds like you may have spyware that brings up ads on its own. I would suggest the free spyware scanner Ad-Aware by Lavasoft. However I had a similar problem once and Ad-Aware couldn't find the spyware program. I bought the program Spy Sweeper by Webroot. Its a very good program, not very expensive, and works well at getting rid of spyware.

i use the google toolbar, i find the yahoo 1 rubbish at blocking popups.
u should never need to pay for a popup blocker i never have.
well most 14 year olds do look at porn nothing to be embarrassed about. also uninstall the yahoo anti spyware, another rubbish program, and install these 3.
1. adaware personnal
2. spybot search and destroy
3. windows defender
all free programs to use and update. put into a google search and download install update and full system scan delete anything it finds job done.

Could be spy ware. Also some sites that have nothing to do with porn tend to have porn pop ups because they are willing probably to spend the most money on advertising.

Someone has been on your computer viewing porn! I don't care if you didn't someone did. XP is notorious for permitting spyware from these sites to glomm onto your computer. You will probably have to do a total restore to get it off.

sometimes there are sites that you click on that downloads the adware at the same time without you knowing it (this has happened to me many times). So search for avg free. its the only software i was able to download that could get rid of the adware and pop ups. at the same time, download also the ewido anti spyware. its a great help. u get all these for free too. just enter "avg free" on your search toolbar on yahoo, and click on the first item that search comes up with and it will take you directly to the site.
