I'm a tall skinny guy, and I must have a freakishly fast metabolism or something because no matter how much I eat, I don't gain a pound. I've also been working out on average a couple times a week, but while I've been getting a little stronger, it doesn't seem to really add too much mass.

As a guy who used to be in your shoes I can really sympathize, but I can also help. All you have to do is increase the amount of protein you're taking in on a daily basis. Cut out all junk food and alcohol. Eat things like eggwhites and oatmeal. Eat foods such as white bread, white potatoes and white rice only sparingly as they are very high in unnecessary starches. Only eat lean beef, but only once every 1-2 weeks because it takes almost 10 days to digest. If you eat 6 small meals a day, spread out every 2-3 hours, you'll see some very good results. You also might consider adding 1-2 days per week of weight training if you already haven't. And because you're quite thin, don't do too much cardio until you've put on at least 3-5lbs of muscle. 15-20 minutes 3 times per week is fine for almost anyone. Hope all this helps. Good luck.

If you are getting stronger, you are building muscle, if you are building muscle, you are building mass/weight. Be patient it takes a long time. Be glad that you are starting from a lean body to begin with and dont do anything stupid to hurry it along (ie. eating honey buns).
Eat 6 small meals a day, with protein and carbs in each meal. Work out more than a couple times a week, but do not do cardio excercise as it burns calories. Just lift weights. You'll get there eventually. There is no quick fix, without putting on fat. You will be greatful you did it right in the end.

Eat peanut butter, nuts, whole grain breads and lots of protein. Also lift weights to gain muscle mass, since muscle weighs more than fat.
