depends on the associativity of - operator and the meaning of ++a and b++

Sounds like you're taking a course in the "C" computer language, and this question might get better answers if posed there.

But I'll propose the following:

++a means that a is incremented before it's used in the expression, while b++ means that b is incremented afterwards.

What I'm not sure of is whether the value of a used in the 2nd half of the expression is included before or after a is incremented. Forced to guess, I'll say that the ++a incrementation is global, which means:

F = 7*2 - 7*7
= 14 - 49
= -35.
