I was in the same boat as you, hated my job and wasn't so young anymore....lol. What I did was start a home business while working my job, a business has to be built and can take some time. What I did was create leverage and built residual income until I was surpassing my regular income. This is very achievable in 6 months time if you are with the right company and you decide to commit to getting out of a bad situation. Once this is done you will have the financial backing to pursue whatever your heart desires!

I worked for a newspaper company for almost 21 years, rising to the rank of shift supervisor before getting laid off due to downsizing. I had attended an evening school learning business office skills and word processing/data entry, so I focused in that area, and landed a position with another media distribution company using my data entry skills. I'm happier now with my new job, than I was with my previous job, and plan on working here until I retire.

Trust me, make the switch. I was miserable, but in the field I love. I landed a completely different job in the same field, doing way different things, and I love it. I was really surprised at the difference it made to get a job I was truly satisfied with. It improved so many areas of my life. Make the switch and be happy!

Can you survive the financial upheaval while you do? If so, then absolutely. Its your life and no-one can live it better than you, why stay doing something that makes you unhappy if you can do something fun and still put food on the table?
