...Full three second stops. Always used his blinker. Always checked his blind spots before making a turn or changing lanes. Never exceeded the speed limit.

He just came out of nowhere. A young man on a bicycle, riding very fast.

Accidents always leave your mind with a blur of memory and emotion, but one image was crystal clear to him: the biker, shouting over his right shoulder at a friend lagging behind, riding into the road without looking.

There was no time to stop.

I think that's enough. Interesting idea, by the way. I like it. More people should do things like this on here, it's a creative and entertaining use of the Answers system.

he jumped out of the car and threw his arms in the air, yelling, "I'm free!" His careful-days were over. No more washing his hands after every sneeze. No more double-checking the door to make sure it was locked. No more stocking canned food and bottled water in his basement in case of a national emergency. He had left the car headlights on all night. He had been careless for the first time in his life. He crawled back into his car and turned the key in the ignition again, leaning his ear toward the dashboard. No sound. Not even one turn of the engine. He smiled so wide the sides of his mouth became sore.

...his face turned red and, with perspiration starting to form around his upper lip, he turned slowly in his seat to face the burly man beside his car. "May I see your license, sir, and your car's registration papers?" Josh bit his lip and leaned over to grab the papers from his glove-box. Something seemed strange about this police officer and how he clocked this car...something just wasn't right about it - Josh had always been very careful to not drive even 5 miles over the speed limit, and today was no exception...in fact, he had been driving even slower on this back road in the middle of nowhere because he wasn't altogether sure where his new friend, whom he was going to visit, lived. He was sure he had been under the speed limit, and had just made up his mind to tell the blue and gray clad man outside his window so when something hit him terribly hard in the back of his head and knocked the breath out of him. His vision quickly got blurry and then faded to black. In the back of his mind, he thought he could hear someone grunting as if they were carrying a heavy burden and then walking a little ways away, hopping into a car and driving off - but Josh could see or feel nothing, and when he finally came back to his senses, he found himself behind a bush near a country road that he recognized - and his new Jaguar was gone! But what had happened to the "policeman"'s car? It was nowhere in sight, and if the "policeman" had taken Josh's car, wouldn't his car still be around?

I am done now...I could keep going on, but here I will stop!

...he was shocked. How had Jenny found out? He'd done everything right-hadn't he? He made sure he didn't keep her number programmed into his phone so Jenny couldn't find it. He never went home with Stacie's perfume lingering on him. He had been so careful! At least he thought he had been. But here he was sitting in a hotel room all by himself.
He had thought everything was fine that Friday he came home from work. He had called Jenny at 6:00 and told her he had to work late again. She had seemed fine then. She just said "Okay honey. Just hurry home." There wasn't anything in her voice that said she knew. So when he finally got home at 11:00 that night he didn't suspect the knife to come flying through the air at his head. Or to see Jenny sobbing uncontrollably at the other end of the kitchen.
"Jenny, what's wrong", he asked as he started walking towards her.
"Get away from you *astard", she screamed. "How could you do this to me? I gave uyp my life to be the perfect wife for you! I dropped out of school, I quit my job when you asked me too. I did everything for you!!!! How could you?"
He looked at her. What was she talking about? She couldn't possibly know about Stacie could she? No. He'd been to careful.

That's enough for now. Hope you like it.

....Adam froze in mid-bow, as if someone had pushed the pause button. His parents had found out the truth. He had hid it so carefully from them for almost four years. Four agonizing, risky years. But now he had blown it. After a long, hard day of exams at school, the senior came home, and went straight to his room to offer Zuhr, the second prayer of the day. In his haste, he forgot to lock the door. As Adam bowed down before his god on the prayer rug, he heard the door slowly creak open. His mother stood in the doorway, an astonished look creeping over her face. She tried not to believe what her son was doing. He was praying exactly how the Muslims on TV prayed! Her son broke his prayer, and horrified, looked at his mother, expecting the worst. Five years ago, when his Christian family had moved to this small nieghborhood, they had found the population to be 60% Muslims. As Adam started school there, and made several Muslim friends, his couriosity about other religions forced him to find out more about Islam. By the end of one year, he had found the true meaning of Islam, the true religion of peace and submission to Almighty God alone. And after reading a translation of the Quran, the Muslim's holy book, he made up hs mind that he would convert to Islam, and nothing could stop him. Slowly he learned more through his friends and their families, about the five daily prayers and the five pillars. As all this ran through his head as he stood on is prayer rug, his mother watching him, he said..........

..OK, here's ur small snippet, now you finish it!.....

He'd always been so careful so when it happened he couldn't believe it. He looked down. How did this happen again. The last time was when he was five. Now, 20 years later he peered down at his squished flesh bulging out of the zipper. He was in pain but the shock and humiliation he knew he was about to endure numbed the unbearable ache that was beginning to bleed from his previous tries to free himself from the zipper. He wondered to himself, "Should I call my mom or 911?"

he's always been so careful, so when it happened everyone was shocked. he came in from the rain and the cold one day and smiled.
"hey guys." he said. "guess what?"
"what?" we all said monotonously.
"A family wants me."
In this orphanage, on the outskirts of our run-down city, this is a shock. No one wants to have a family. We, the orphans, live in more luxury than the richest citizens of our town. It was the worst thing if a famly wanted you, so everyone was as bratty as possible when we met a potential family, just to scare them off. But here, he was - he was smiling.
"Who?" I squeaked from the leather armchair.
"Prince Gregory." and he flounced up the stairs and, presumably, into his bed.

he dropped his head in shame. he knew he could have been just a little more careful. He knew now that he would spend the rest of his life regretting that decision, but he also knew he had to own up to his responsibilities as a man. So he picked his head up and kept walking towards the sunset.

he couldn't stop thinking about how he nearly died...and now he's just left the ward, on his own two feet,
(the rest of them in there look like they'll be going out in a box.)
Now he's walking down the corridoor with Susan, on the way out to the car, She's smiling at everyone they pass because she's that sort of woman, but he's ignoring them,
because he doesn't feel like being nice to anyone,
he knows its not very noble, but they should try having a piece of your body cut away and see how they feel.
he deosn't even say cheerio to the nurse who offered a wheelchair, what does he need that for he thinks..!
he wants to tell her what to do with the damn thing, its not like his leg was amputated, he's got no more need of a wheelchair than a flipping two sleeved shirt.....
