I have plenty of baby-boomer friends...but as a stereotype I distance myself as much as possible. I'm ashamed at the many negative things that the "ME-ME-ME" generation did to the society, morals, work ethic, and quality of life I could have had.

I think we're worse off. I am also ashamed of the "me-me" generation that I don't associate myself with (I'm 28 years old). I've had to work hard for everything I have (put myself through college, bought my own cars, had to work in high school to pay for gas and car insurance) and, therefore, get really upset at these young teenagers who expect everything and don't learn anything valuable (can't read or write at the levels we used to). My mom and dad are baby-boomers. I've worked hard for a social security that I'll probably never get. I wish the baby-boomers could knock some sense into the people who don't know what it's like to "earn a penny" the hard, old-fashioned way. Thank you for your question.

I was born during the early 60's and as such am technically a baby boomer. I don't think we have left the next generation any worse than the generation before us left the boomers. When things go wrong people look for someone to blame. The Generation Xers have inherited a world shaped not just by boomers but by all those who came before. If you don't like what was left to you, get up and fix it, don't just sit and whine about it. The boomer generation were like they were and did what they did as a reaction to the "wrongs" of the generation before. Free love and acceptance was all about wiping away the prejudice and hate of the generations before. The women's movement was backlash against the unfair treatment of women in previous generations. The whole Me generation thing was a reaction to wanting to have more than generations before. If you dislike what your world is, do something to change it. You can't leave the next generation any worse of than we left you or any worse of than the previous generations left us.

I think life sucks. That basically sums it up. It's not fun. It's boring. Same **** everyday. People suck. I suck. The cat that jump on my window in the morning and wakes me up with his claws and hisses sucks. We're all gonna die in the end anyway. Everyone has a big ego. No one can relax. We're all just biological animals made up in a blob of cells. So for all I know I think and act just off my genetics and how I grew up and experiences. I'm not a real person. Just a brain that tries to understand. Many illusions run through peoples heads. Memories, thoughts, they're all just sitting there in your head. No real meaning. Just a bunch of chemicals and **** going off in your brain. If I woke up dead tomorrow I wouldn't know, and I wouldn't care. So why care when you're alive? When nothing means a damn thing to you anymore that's when **** starts to stink. And that's a hard pit to climb out of.

Worse! Huge public debt, high taxes, shitty job market. They partied thru the 60s and 70s and stuck us with the bill. Thanks a lot.

Did leave some good music, must admit. The sound track to their party.
