Don't judge yourself by the standards of others. Wear what looks good on you regardless of what everyone else is wearing. Head for the mall and get a make-over if it will make you feel better about yourself, or try a new hairstyle... but do it for you and not your co-workers. Continue to be outgoing and get to know everyone on a personal level. If it turns out they're all a bunch of shallow jerks who judge people solely on their looks then who needs them. Just because you work with them doesn't mean they have to become your best friends. If you can't deal with them start looking for another job. Best wishes and good luck.

Well, there is always someone who looks better than we do-that's not an issue. Besides obvious things that can be changed (getting fit, make-up, etc) it's really about how you feel about yourself. If you feel attractive and flirt (harmlessly), you will be surprised how much attention you will get. I worked in the office ones where the most "sought after" girl wasn't even remotely attractive, but she was a great flirt and everyone just loved being around her!

But NEVER show that you are sad/moody/angry/down because then for sure noone will want to be around you.
