It really depends. When I was in college, I went to visit a friend who was working the late night shift at Subway. I stopped at a gas station to get some smokes and there was this guy who was just being an ***, he was trying to pay but did not have any money. He then proceeded make extremely sexually inappropriate comments to myself and the woman working (I was afraid to leave her alone with this guy) So anyway, after his friend came an bailed him out I left. My friend said someone found a wallet in here tonight, I wonder who we can find out who it belongs too. He gave me the wallet and it was the SAME DUDE! He was an *** to my friend too, so we stole all the cash (it was only like 60 dollars) and went out and had a good time. Then The next day, I called him from my work and told him someone found his wallet in the parking lot and can you please come and pick it up.

There was a time when I would have turned the money in, but no more. The stolen elections of 2000 and 2004 and Schwarzenegger overturning the honest election of Gov. Davis in California has convinced me there is nothing to be gained by being honest.

Turn it in. Large sums of money usually have large dangerous people looking for them.

I have found a large sum of money before and I turned it in...
But sometimes, there's no one to claim it...so wait a while before wasting it!

Depends. I found a bank bag right before Christmas last year. It was lying on the sidewalk in the slush. Picked it up and it was for a local business. Brought it in and got a free meal.
But--the bag didn't really have all that much in it. I still wonder if there had been more cash if I would have been as honest as I was.

Turn it in. If no one claims it, then I would able to keep it. But I would give the person a chance to claim it first. I would hate to lose a fair amount of money that I worked for.

If there was a wallet or purse..I would turn that in to the local postal mail drop box... I would definitely keep the money. Sorry but, I am being honest.

depends. If it is just cash, unmarked and alot of it in say a suspicious looking case or bag, keep it. If it was a wallet with that person's cash, cards, checks, I.D. etc... got to give it back. A random 20 or 10 blowing in the wind? KEEP IT
