I believe that too many abortions are being performed everyday. Some girls use abortions as there birth control and then there's some girls like myself. I didn't want to have the miscarriage at home and even though it hurt I went to that abortion clinic. My baby was already dying before I went. Anyways, there's no way to know for sure how many. Its a lot. At the abortion clinic I went to with in an hour maybe 50 girls where already there, young and old. So you do the math.

I don't know how many but I was reading some of the answers here and I would just like to say one thing this person never made a statement as to right or wrong they just asked how many. Why don't you pro-death opps I mean pro-murder oh there I go again I mean pro choice people relax. If you are so paranoid that someone will point out that abortion is murder you start foaming at the mouth as soon as someone asks a neutral question.

it is not how many have happened that concern's me it is the one's that are to come still because of the law's we have supporting a women's right to choose .WE seem to implie women have special right's in child birth that no one else has .THE right to commit murder ",LEGALLY" and this must end i am a liberal but also a realist and i see live from the very first division of cells and not just a bloob of cell's no more then the snot one would blow from one's nose .BY making this cell's as part of her body you give her control somewhat over what happen's we need to recognize these cell's as independent live requiring the care of the mother for there proper development.
THIS places the freedom granted to all people to be cared for and should the mother wish to harm the child inside the full wieght of the law would be at the child's side to protect it from harm .
IF you can not or will not see thediference between the cell's thta are dividing as new live that needs the protection of all thelaws we have then abortion will continue forever .
IT is not just a group or bloob of useless cell's but rather the first stage of development .SCIENCE HAS DEFINED THE stages of life and done a poor job of it so we must look to science to define once and for all the point at which unique and individual life begins.EVEN identical twins are not identical and thats the problem with scientist trying to describe thing's they lack the vocabulary as i do to adiquetly discribe the life that begins from the moment of conception and need a good technical writer to define it .

From 1973 through 2000, more than 39 million abortions were committed in America. For more information, see http://Abort73.com

About 40 million little possible Democrats, that's another reason they keep losing. For 33 years they have been able to legally kill off their own party. Republicans just keep growing replenishing their party.
EDIT:: To the poster above me. If we or a Dr. kill a baby after it's born it's murder. It's not our choice, you go to prison, right? But it's our or the Dr.'s choice to kill it before it's born even when it has a beating heart and can feel pain. Go figure? I'll never understand.

It was not made legal this year. What are you talking about? It's been legal for a very long time--Row v. Wade was a 70's Supreme Court case. 1977 I think.

why does it matter...and for those of you saying too many do you really think we need another 30-50 million people here? abortion my be against your beliefs but child neglect and over population are against mine...if a woman wants (or needs) to get an abortion it really is none of your buisness...are you personally going to adopt all the little would-have-been-aborted babies? are you going to help the mother and father of the baby support the baby... (i dont mean you the asker of the question but "you " those against abortion)
mind your buisness and leave people to make thier own decisions...
