I work for 256 Chinese businesses. I am an African and i know for a fact that the Chinese are the most exciting people youll ever know . Their youth culture is so advanced and dangerously exciting. they pimp up their vehicle to Xs XG those fast allowed mobile boombox .They are very up 2 date in fashion too. I work for them because they are generous and pay you what you ask for.
Even though the Chinese keep to themselves on the street ,when you get to know them its a different matter.They chat with you and want 2 know everything about you.
Ignore people who call you ignorant if you dont know much about a culture you are free to ask.

You should add some details to this question so you don't come across sounding like an ignorant American (they don't know you're working in China). Have you thought about turning your classroom into a giant video game? Not literally with props or anything, but using the video game format to teach lessons. Oooh, or you could print up some screen shots of popular video games and use them to teach vocabulary. If they're into the Sims games, that would be perfect since there are so many different opportunities to teach vocabulary. Good luck either way. :)

There is no such thing as 'boring' there is only feeling bored. Try not to stereotype people. I know some very interesting and entertaining Chinese people. If you are bored, go find others interested in the things you are interested in doing.

I think you should show your basic respect first. I don't think chinese people are boring :) I have worked with many chinese people before and they are all hard working, interesting, funny and smart. You think that chinese are boring becuase they are talking when they are talking to the boring guys like you. :) Chinese people are friendly and kind, if you treat them good, they will treat you rly good back.

i have to ask how many Chinese people you have met maybe American Chinese are boring but the ones in Hong Kong &singapore certainly are not

they are into meditation, in this part of the world not as much..
diversity is good , trust me. just imagine everybody having the same habits,fashion,entertainment,taste for this and that, you name it! then it will be an extremely boring , square world.
