No...if you watch Mythbuster on TV (TLC) they have totally disproven this myth. There have been absolutely zero reports of a cell phone sparking and causing a fire. What they (Mythbusters) did conclude is that getting in and out of your car while the gas is pumping can possibly cause a static build up that can spark when you touch the handle of the gas pump to pull it out of your tank. They had an awesome explosion! And some stations-like Sam's Club- have signs saying to stay outside the vehicle until you are finished pumping gas.

cell phones do not have any posibility of causing a spark... if they did then we would be hearing stories in the news all the time about it happening... You have more to worry about when getting out of your vehicle (you generate static when sliding out of your chair) and causing an explosion when pumping gas
On further note, you cant step outside in this world (or inside a building) without being bombarded by all sorts of electromagnetic radiation. Radio waves, cell phone signals, x-rays, ultraviolet light, visible light, they are all the same... and they are everywhere. so if someone tells you that cell phones can cause gasoline to explode is basically telling you that light itself can cause gasoline to explode.

They busted that one completely not only on Mythbusters, but on Brainiac, the British equivalent. Cell phones cannot cause a gasoline explosion, but watch out for static electricity.

Yes. So does static electicity. That's why it's said you should't leave the pump running and get back inside your car then get back out to stop.
