Aren't mom/dad/whoever generally easier to get along with when you carry out your instructions?

It'll take a few minutes, and it will be over, and you can get back to Yahoo.

Well, because dirty tubs are gross and because it "ain't gonna scrub itself," and because if you just sit there and procrastinate and have to get told over and over again, you just keep building up that stereotype of yourself as someone who has to be nagged to get anything done. Better to just abandon the computer for 10 minutes (we won't say anything too interesting while you're gone) and get it over with and then come back. Good luck. Happy scrubbing!

If you were "told" to scrub the tub, then I guess you'd better get up and do it because you must still be young enough to be put on restriction from going out, talking on the phone, etc., if you don't. So start scrubbing!

You clean the tub because it's dirty. It's not going to get clean by itself ( I've tried that, it's never worked ).
Just think how satisfied you'll be when your done and that job's behind you, leave the shower curtain open so you can see it every time you go in the bathroom, it'll make you feel good,

Cheers!

Because you might actually have to use it at some point. That would motivate me. Just picture yourself sitting in a yucky, mucky tub.

It wouldn't take long and then you could sit the rest of the day and not have it hanging over your head like a curse.
JDI and be done with it.
