There is nothing wrong with liking people. What do you do, with that person can be wrong. If you both free and willingly decide to pursue this friendship as friendship, it is OK. But if the two of you free and willingly decide to date as a couple it is fine too. Unless any of you has already a significant other in your lives.
To enter a relationship thinking of how it would end is the first reason not to enter into one. So maybe staying as friends is the best for now.

I have been in your situation, My best friend (guy) moved in together and lived together for 8 years just recently I moved out and moved on with my life. We are still friends through everything. I think with anyone it depends on whether you would rather just remain friends or take it a little further to see what would or could happen. They do say the best marriages out there are the ones that the people are best friends.
Good luck

Actually, it's better to have a relationship with a friend than it is to have one with someone you have nothing in common with. You'll always be friends, but once the lust is gone, if you have nothing in common with the person, there's nothing to keep you together.
Some of the best, and longest lasting relationships are based on friendships first, and love came later.

depending on your age, the person you go out with or marry should be your 'best' friend
if you're young, they should be your friend whether you're dating or not
