It's a remix!
The original (on Pulp Fiction) is Dick Dale's version of a traditional Middle-Eastern song called "Miserlou." Dick's version came out in 1961, and laid the groundwork for agressive, electric guitar-based rock & roll. Even Jimi Hendrix thought Dick Dale was great!

Okay, Pulp Fiction came out in 1994. Pump It just came out this year. All the Black Eyed Peas did was sample the sound bit. It's just a remix.

I am pretty sure it is a remix.
I heard the original the other day but the song was not credited on the radio. ..but it was played on an Oldies station.
