Just got off the phone with Jim Bowden. Soriano will not be traded. He will stay with the Nationals as they will offer him a multi-year contract for many many $$$$$. News of his new contract should be out any day or so.

Alfonso will be traded without a doubt be traded to the white sox. The Nats are looking at the future with the minor league pitchers they would acquire. Unless Washington offers Soriano his position at second base and a 3-year 7 million dollar contract, I see Soriano as a Sox left fielder

I really don't think that he will be traded. If he is traded, it will most likely be to a team that will play him at second and have the prospects that the Nats will want in return. The Yankees would play him at Second, but won't have the prospects needed. The Twins or Tigers could play him at second and have good trade bait, so they may be at the top of the list, but the White Sox may try to get him to put him in the outfield more as defense against the Twins or Tigers getting him. I would love for the Cardinals to get him, but I don't think they will give up what's needed and they prefer athletes that can play defense (the Cards have more Gold Glove winners than any other team in the history of baseball), so I don't see that ever happening. They say the Angels and Dodgers are interested, but I don't foresee that happening. I don't think they will give up their farm system for a player that won't be there next year. Most likely he is staying in Washington, but you could see him playing in the AL Central soon too.

Infield: Lance Berkman because the fast porch in correct field at Yankee Stadium may be sensible his stats. Outfield: Ryan Ludwick because now the Padres have yet another huge bat of their lineup. Catcher: Bengie Molina, Jarrod does no longer be doing a lot even as Victor Martinez comes decrease back. beginning Pitcher: Cliff Lee, the Rangers ultimately get an ace into their team. closer/relief Pitcher: Matt Capps coming improves the Twins bullpen a great deal and substances the Twins an total closer in position for the injured Joe Nathan.

Don't be surprised if the Tigers make a move for him. This may sound like "why", but he has playoff experience and he has power and speed. He can play left field in Detroit also as well as second base. If the Tigers get him, start making World series tickets because the Tigers will host it (Thank you, Michael Young)

it sounds like the chicago whitesox but yesterday kenny williams said he doesnt want to part with brandon mccarthy so that disapointed the national fans if the deal goe sthrough i see josh fields mark sweeney and a pitching prospect headed to the nationals, the move also means scott podsednik will be a CF and soriano will play left

Yes, he's too valuable a commodity and Washington won't be able to re-sign him at the end of the year.

Rumors have him heading to the White Sox, Anaheim and Toronto.

Looks like White Sox unless Yankees can pull a rabbit out of their hat. Yankee do want him but wont give up top two prospects

I think the Yanks would love to have him back since they need a bat so badly. Maybe he can play 3rd in A-Fraud's place. If not, I don't think the Dodgers can't pass on him.
