Debbie was - and still is a songwriter / producer. She was the youngest artist ever to produce a number one album at age 14. Tiffany covered two great songs and actually became part of rock and roll history. She covered "I Think Were Alone Now" and took it to number 1 - it was replaced my Billy Idol's "Mony Mony" at number one. Both original songs by Tommy James. This was the only time in Billboard history that two cover songs from the same original group replaced each other at number one.

Britney Spears started off copying Debbie Gibbson. Even Britney Spears school video coppied Debbie Gibson's school video. On the other hand Tiffy went on to do a Playboy shoot. I would go with Debbie Gibson because she had more influence.
