I had blood work done at the doc yesterday. I am 4 weeks and 5 days prego and my hcg is at 896 is that normal or low? I go back tomorrow to see if it is doubling...I was just wondering if any of you ladies knew. Thank you!

the hCG level is complex. There is a HUGE range that can be classified as "normal". Your best bet is to wait till tomorrow. Every 48 hours it is suppost to atleast double. So as long as it does then you should be fine. I went thru that with the pregnancy I am in right now. They thought that I was gonna miscarry but I am now 32 weeks into a normal pregnancy with a baby that is actually a little bigger than he should be - which is a good thing. Good luck - the worst part is waiting...

You should have asked when you were there yesterday.
Pick up the phone call the doctor office and talk to the nurse there and she can tell you.

Call and ask to speak to a nurse. She can tell you in just a couple minutes.

i have nl clue as my levels have never been checked like that. and i am high risk when pregnant.
