"Big" does not always equal "healthy."
For now.....
Take your prenatal vitamins and get regular prenatal care.
Eat a wide variety of food. Some junk food is OK in moderation, but try to eat healthy.
Stay well-hydrated.
Be an active participant in your labor and the birth of your baby.
Breastfeed your baby. The AAP recommends nursing exclusively for 6 months and continuing with the addition of solid foods for *at least* the first year.

Miscarriage is usually only a worry in the first trimester, possibly early in the second. And, generally there's nothing you can do to stop it.
If you want to have a healthy pregnancy and baby, talk to your doctor and read up-What to Expect When you're Expecting is a great book.

if your going to miscarry theres nothing you can do. a missscariage is the bodys way of ridding a potenially dangerous pregnancy. meaning something was wrong with the baby, big is not always healthy. eat right and follow all of your doctors instructions and you will have a healthy baby. just so you know a big baby 8lbs plus is very hard to deliver and often not always requires a c-section. keep that in mind. eat right take your vitamens and exercise unless your told not too. ask your doctor these questions please

Having a big baby isn't necessarily healthy. My son was only 6 lbs. when he was born and he was perfectly healthy.
Just exercise, eat healthy foods, stay away from cigarette smoke and alcohol and be happy!

Every pregnancy is different and due to that you should really speak to your doctor. However, the basics are to eat healthy and take your vitamins; do not drink, smoke, or do drugs.
