Laser surgery is the only thing to get rid of the appearance of vericose veins. Promote good circulation to prevent future veins through excercise and propping your legs up. Standing to long can also cause them. They are usually genetic. I have them already and so does my entire family. Dont smoke, thats another key.

Varicose veins are caused by a number of factors (look it up on WebMD.com), but generally speaking you can avoid them by exercising. If you're a couch potato, you'll get them at a young age. If you do a lot of cardiovascular exercise, your skin will be much less likely to get littered with these nasty looking things! Start jogging, riding a bicycle, kayaking, anything... just move!

Yep laser is probably the only way to get rid of them. Try not crossing your legs to prevent further ones.
