You won't even have to be old! You will wrinkle like a prune in your 40s and by the time you reach your 50s you will look like leather.
Not to mention skin cancer risks.
And by your other answers, there are no cures but there is prevention.
By the time you are 18 or 20, you should use a moisturizer, makeup protects the skin, but don't sleep in it. And the sun DOES make you wrinkle early.
If you want to know how I know, email me at

No, not at all as ageing is a process which cannot be curtailed or reversed by anyone. Wrinkles are just one aspect of a person getting old, and it is an indication of shrinking muscles for which contributions are made from within of which one is not fully aware of! So, whatever steps one might take while one is still young, they might give one a feel good factor during that stage of life but once that person gets old, face he/she should what comes with that stage of life!

Most definetly...
The sun on your skin stimulates the production of a brown pigment called melanin. The melanin acts like an umbrella, trying to protect your skin. The more time you spend in the sun, the more melanin is produced. You may think that’s a good thing. But you’ve no doubt seen people who’ve spent their lives in the sun. Their skin may be brown, but it also appears thick and hard like stained leather, prone to blotches, brown spots, and wrinkles. Sound attractive?

My Mom was a summer "sun worshiper" from the 1950s through the 1980s. Her skin is like leather and she's horribly wrinkled -- has been for decades. Not to mention her skin cancer!

Good chance of it, yes.
I never spent time in the sun. I'm 32 and people think in at least 5 years younger and I think the lack of tanning when I was younger has a lot to do with it. Regulate the amount of time you spend in the sun, you don't have to completely avoid it, but be careful.

yes. sun damage is sun damage. if you're getting tanned--especially if you're getting burned--then you've damaged the skin and it will wrinkle. however, skin wrinkles as you age whether you tan or not, because it loses elasticity. so the point is moot, really.

if you have to do it, make sure you use sunscreen with SPF30+
keep in mind that more than 1,000,000 skin cancer cases are expected in 2006. although patients of skin cancer generally have high survival rates, it is not at all a pleasant experience.
if tanning is the goal, self-tanning lotion is the way to go.

Won't matter much, I'm afraid.
Old age and wrinkles are contagious, no cures.
