i've been known to be shy ever since i was in fourth grade. when i got to high school i was like "okay, i'm going speak out more and make a lot of friends" that didnt really happen until last year (sophomore year). but i feel like even when i do try to join conversations with friends, no one seems to want to hear what i have to say. is that i'm not talking loud enough? or is what i'm saying not important? no one calls me shy anymore, but i now have a hard time being in a conversation with more than one person. what should i do? it's driving me nuts now

we are all good at something or the other. you must be a rockstar on some front. work on that, first try to start with one person and hang out with that person for some time...slowly through that person, you might befriend another...soon you would be in a group of people with varying interests and get going...

yahoo answers would be a good place to start.. :-)

Good Luck!!
