the problem is someone is always offended by any joke you Tell
example why wasn't Jesus born in Ireland /
answer they couldn't find three Wise men
this will upset the Irish and the Christians
I'm still trying to find one that will offend every one

Well, you are in Society and Culture category. If you would like to get a lighter side of life, then go to the categories that are for humor.
Asking for humor in a "serious" category is like walking into a church on Sunday and acting like Robin Williams. Humor is appropriate in some places and at some times, but not in a serious "topic" or conversation.

I am sick of people getting offended so easily these days. People need to relax and enjoy life instead of waiting for someone to do or say something the wrong way. Just live your own life and be happy!

Some people offend people and then say they were just kidding or lighten up... It is never funny to be offensive. There is good humor and inappropriate humor.

My answer is, because people are taking any joke on them too personal. I agree with the other answers. Political correctness has gone to far. By the way, does anyone realize where the term "politcal correctness" came from? During the communist revolution in China people were reeducated to become "politcally correct". Its a communist term.

Becuase some people take things to serious.
its life....some people are just bitchy....
and others have a sense of humor.
people need to losen up.
most of the time they get offended is becuase they have no self respect.
or..
they might think they are amazing and when you joke around they get down your throat becuase you called them ugly or something?
life is full of over serious people.
it makes life so much boring.

worried about how they look and what they have on, so if you joke then they get offended because you are somehow tearing down a perfect wall in 10 seconds that they spent the last decade trying to build.

Obviously, your parents failed to raise you in a manner such that you developed the quality of empathy for others. People who ask hate-filled questions should not be surprised when they get a big dose of their own medicine.
