Notice how no Republican has given a well thought out response. That's because it would be impossible to form one. It's a cop out to say "you can't spell so you don't deserve my "logical explanation".

Butter: US troops aren't the only ones being killed. Iraqi babies and children are as well. How is that better than abortion? Oh, and they have heartbeats and brain waves, too.

If you are against abortion and stem cell research, or call yourself "pro life", then by the same standard you should be against the killing of innocent children already separated from the womb. And If anyone disagrees, I challenge them to prove this statement incorrect.

P.S.- I am neither 100% democrat or 100% republican. I cannot identify fully with either.

First of all, you're mistaken. Many Republicans are for the death penalty, which is a preventative measure, and support the war in Iraq because they understand why it started, not because they love war, or want to see people killed.
Republicans can be just as concerned about the environment as any Democrat. They just don't believe that everything should be "conserved", though many believe that we shouldn't waste our resources, and we should definitely recycle.
"Unborn cell formations"? Fancy. Only problem with that is that those "unborn cell formations" have HEARTBEATS and BRAIN WAVES. By the time a woman knows she's pregnant, that "cell formation" has a heartbeat.
Edit: As for the innocent Iraqis being killed, yes that's horrible, and I don't know a single Democrat OR Republican who doesn't think that it's a tragedy. However, those innocent Iraqis are not usually being killed by us; they're being killed by the insurgents. That's part of the reason we're still there, to put a stop to that.
However, there are two reasons that Iraqi civilians would be killed besides what the insurgents are doing. 1) Something that they're doing is suspect. For example, not stopping at a checkpoint, even after hearing the command in Arabic. Also, throwing things on the ground (anything could be an IED, and it's not just adults throwing them down) could be considered suspect. Walking quickly towards an American soldier with hands in pockets, yeah, that could be a bad thing as well.
2) Some American soldiers really aren't good people, and they seem to be ignorant enough to believe that this war is against Iraq. It's not. Any soldier with half a brain knows that, and they know that there is no reason to kill a civilian except if the first case I mentioned is true.
Have you ever watched the TV series "Over There"? It was recommended to us by several people who have been in Iraq. They said that most of the soldiers are better than the ones in the show, but other than that, it's pretty much accurate. You should watch it. It shows why sometimes civilians are killed.
It's funny that the answerer after me said that no one is defending the Republicans or doing anything other than insulting your intelligence. I'm not a Republican, but I do have some mostly conservative views. And yet I have defended my position, without resorting to name-calling and insults.
I'm not against the war in Iraq, nor am I "for" it. I believe that we know nothing of what's going on over there, except what the news media tells us. And what do they know, anyway, if they're not there?
Death penalty? For. Those who murder should know that if they do those things, they'll die for it. It's a preventative measure.
Abortion? Against, except in cases of rape and where the mother's life is at risk. I don't think there should be ANY abortions after the first trimester unless the mother's life is at risk.
So when you look at it that way, it does make sense.
Then again, why are many Democrats/liberals against the death penalty, but for abortion? For the NAACP because it upholds parts of the Constitution, but against the NRA?
The fact is, when you look at it that way, Democrats/liberals make no more sense than Republicans/conservatives.

Why are Democrats for raising taxes, giving everything away to people who are too lazy to work, and want to be able to abort a baby all the way up to the birth (including all third tri-mester)?

Seems illogical to me to continue to enable everyone and not teach personal responsibility...

Liberty Over Liberalism!

Do liberals ever steer away from sensationalism and intelligently discuss the facts.
Why are liberals for the protection of terrorists, child molestors and mass murders but allow the killing of unborn babies because they are "inconvenient" to their mothers.
See, anyone can do it!

I love this question, it doesn't even need an answer. Oh, Neddie, the Fiscal Conservatives I know are furious at the Christian Right for ruining the Republican party.

No kidding...that shows ya there's a whole lot more to it than just a cell formation...it's obviously all political strategy...

shame on us peasants for taking so much crap from the politicians and letting them screw up our lives, our health and the future of our children and their children...

when are we going to wake up....after we're dead that's when, and by then...it's way too late! What a damn waste of our lives!!!

It's all about money. Big companies pay Republicans money so they can go on polluting the environment. Big companies pay them lots of money so hey can go "rebuild" Iraq. No big companies are offering money to the republicans to do stem cell research so therefore they are against it.

that comes from Christianity my friend, ignorance and misunderstanding everything. you know those few people that can take everything you say or write and turn it around into something so far from what you said you just want to hit them? Yeah that's a republican...It only makes sense to them.

It would seem illogical, because your premises are false. It is impossible for false premises to lead to a true conclusion, logically speaking.

Simple. They stopped doing what the voters want and started doing what the Christian church wants.

That is totally and utterly immoral. They don't work for the church, they are supposed to represent the voters.
