If Israel does not restrain itself and begins to go after all of Lebanon instead of Hezbolla, other Arab countries will probably come to Lebanon's defense. This could lead to U.S. involvement which could lead to Russian involvement which could lead to WWWIII. It's obvious that Israel was looking for an excuse to do what they are doing and seized on the kidnapping of one soldier as justification but world opinion is now turning to Lebanon's favor as the U.S. continues to back Israel.
The Israelis are playing exactly the same game that Bush played with 9/11 and Iraq.

The Saudi King has earmarked some 1.3 billion (if I remember right) to get the Lebanese people some humanitarian basics, and to keep the Lebanese government running. Otherwise its all talk, veiled threats and calls for cease fire right now.
Realistically, the Saudis have no real gain by intervening in the conflict militarily. It gets them nothing. They will probably only become involved if the war spreads.

It would appear that the only country in the world now that still supports Hezbollah and it's terrorism is Iran.
Saudi Arabia like all the other countries is talking a storm but quietly waiting for the week or so it will take for Hezbollah to be pushed back as far as possible.
Even Syria says that Hezbollah has to be removed from Lebanon and neutralised and they have been funding, arming and training them for years!
Hezbollah set out to unite the Arab world against Israel and destroy it. They appear to have succeeded in uniting the Arab world (except Iran) but not against Israel but for the removal of Hezbollah.
Peace may just have a chance at last!!!

Saudi do not have an army. They are surrounded by 23 American military bases inside the country. They have already promised $500 millions to rebuild what the Jews have destroyed.

They're saying that to try and thwart attacks from extremists in their own country. All Arab countries feel a duty to side against Israel even if the terrorists attacked Israel first (as they always do) and use their own innocent people as human shields.
