the sooner you have an utlrasound the more accurate they are. Like an ultrasound 5-10 weeks is pretty accurate within 1 day of your 40 week due date. but at the 2nd half of the pregnancy utlrasounds are always considered to be off -/+ 2 weeks. So if yours was early than I would say accurate but you still have to consider that only about 15% of babies are actually born on their due dates.

Yes I had a 6 month old and was nursing. Didn't figure it out til was almost 6 months. The doctor pulled out a old machine and did one - he thought I had multiple births. I don't know if they were right ir wribg but I ended up by what they say being pg for her for 9 1/2 months. She was due Nov 1991 but was induced on Dec 4 1991. She weight 9-4 but was a bad mom years ago and smoked 3 packs of cigs a day when I was pg with her.

during most pregnancies doctors schedual an ultrasound during the first appointment to be sure that you are as far along as you think. They check the babies measurements and all and then they give you an expected due date. For all 4 of my kids they were close. and the earlier ultrasounds are more accurate. The doctors also schedual one around 20 weeks.

I found I was pregant again when my first child was five months old. I had no idea how far along I was and got an ultra sound. My son was born the day before they said he was going to be.

I had an ultra sound to determine how far along I was, and my daughter was born ON the due date they gave me.
Good luck!

I did, and they said I was 10 weeks along and gave me a due date. He was born naturally (not induced) on the date they gave me.

Yes, ultrasounds are pretty accurate in determining your due date. The measure the embryo & depending on its size, they know how far along you are.
