6 weeks. But be GENTLE. and be ROMANTIC. Hormones are most likely still out of whack especially if she is still breastfeeding. Try back and foot massages. Trying going down on her. But don't rush the penis action. Slow and steady as she does. Good luck.

Never had a c/s but I know for a vaginal birth it's 6 weeks. A mom who has a c/s is usually supposed to be off work for 8 weeks, so I'd think the "all clear" for sex would come about the same time as long as she was healing up OK. Be patient...remember that she had major abdominal surgery and now she's caring for a tiny person who is dependent on her for everything.

When Momma feels ready I would say. It takes a long time to heal after a c-section. The doctor will tell her when it's okay for her to begin normal sexual activity after surgery. Most of the time it's the same as a natural delivery. My first c-section I was cleared after 6 weeks. But the second one took a couple of months. Depends on if it was routine or if there was more work done then just a c-section.

Each person is different...i had an em c section and general anaesthetic....and about 2-3 weeks after i had just the worst horn ever....i wanted it so bad....we did and i was fine...although it was very gentle considering i had major surgery....i expect your girl is just feeling very overwhelmed by her ordeal....give her time...talk to her...she could be afraid to try in case of something bad happening...it wont but maybe she needs some reassurance. Having a baby is a major shift in the relationship for you both....maybe you need to show her that you still love her and want her and need her just as much as you did before the baby came along. Try to spend some quality time together.,..have you anyone who can look after little one for a few hours in the evening?....daytime?......its a major culture shock....communication is the answer here. Tell her how you are feeling...if you were my guy and i found out you had posted a question saying that you thought i was avoiding having sex with you after our baby...id go mental.....talk to her!....People can only voice opinions and suggestions here.....you need to be discussing this with her....Good Luck.

well i didn't have a c sction, but i only could wait 3 weeks.. but i am really horny and the three weeks was hard enough.. lol
a lot of women have a hard time even being interested in sex though after having a baby, so give her time! :) help her out with baby and give her tons and tons of emotional support because that is espcially what she neds right now :) she'll come around

When I had my c-section, I asked the doc and he had said 3 weeks. As long as everything healed up. Give your doc a call and see what they say. If it's been 8 weeks, I think it's about time.

you're not suppose to have sex for 6weeks for both a natural and a c-section.( it should tell you that on the discharge papers from the hospital) It also depends on when she stops bleeding unless you both don't mind the blood. it was about 2 months for me I went straight into my period after the regular blood. But I would say at least 6 weeks you don't want to hurt her.

It was 12 weeks for me. Even after that for about 8 months any pressure put on my abdomen still hurt. Be sensitive, she had surgery. Think about it. How long would you wait if your **** was cut open. If anything once it heals she'll be raring to go to. Just be patient.

Your "girls" keep putting if off. Not sure what you mean. Typically a doctor tells you about 6 weeks.

6 weeks like any other pregnancy, but her hormones may be wacked up. Plus, don't ask for sex if you're not the one getting up in the middle of the night. You're an open target when you're sleeping.:)
