I don't think there is a master registry out there assigning fingerprints to people when they're born. So, it's like trees: no two have exactly the same structure, leaf growth and direction, root structure. It is based on genetic variation and verfy early environmental influences.

Each person is different.. the CSI's look for fingerprints so they can get that horrible person who murdered, stole or robbed your house etc... it is all about science and blaming the bad person, or looking for the lost one. Same goes for dental foresenics.. when all other DNA or fingerprints are not available, we all have different jaws/teeth etc.. basically a different mouth.

How can it be? I guess the Creator is just really good at art.

Simple, even if we never looked or accepted genetics; we all have different experiences regarding the usage of our fingers such as burns, scares, exposure, etc... Therefore each finger print would be subject to variations.
