Should gay married be illegal or legal?

There's no reason why it shouldn't be legal!! In Canada it's legal and the country hasn't blown up!! It's embarrassing to know that Canada is more advanced than the USA!!

Marriage between any two people who love each other should have no barriers. This country was founded on the separation of church and state. Marriage rights (taxation, inheritance, adoption, etc.) are given by the state and religion should have no say in the matter.
Anyone who calls themselves a 'christian' and works against gay marriage; that is, justice, equality, and tolerance; is at best a hypocrite and at worst a hate-filled bigot. WWJD?

Simple question, complex answer. Distilled into its most simple answer I vote that gay marriage should be against the law. But I believe that gays cannot truly be married anyway since it is God that has instituted holy matrimony, not man. Legal homosexual marriage will be a reality one day but God will never sanction it.

It's just my opinion, but they should be illegal. Maybe a service of 'commitment' is ok, but an actual marriage just doesn't sit right with me.

Not legally recognized. If two butt pirates want to have acake and wear rings, let them. But do not force 80%+ of Americans who do not want to recognize their union to recognize it as a union.

i say its fine. marriage is a legal contract with economic and tax implications. whatever emotional attachment youput onit is your own personal perogative.
