Sachin has a long way to go before completing fifty centuries.Impossible is nothing for a player of his calibre. But today's Sachin is not the one who scores a century or a 50 in every match he plays. And injuries have been threatning him .Therefore Ii think it would be quite diificult to get to a half-century.But just like all other Indians and other cricket lovers worldwide we can pray for the master blaster so that he exceeds alll expectations and makes us proud

Sachin's key stats.

Age: 33
Test 100s: 35
ODI 100s: 39

I assume you are referring to Tests.

Sachin 1st played in 1989/90, so over his 15+ year career has scored an average of 2.33 centuries per year.

Most people would admit that Sachin is past his best. But even if he continued at this rate of centuries per year, he'd have to play for another 6.42 years to reach 50 tons. That would make him almost 40.

With his recent injury woes and the fact he has played so so much cricket in his career, it's hard to see he'll play that long.

But wouldn't it be great to see it.

Sachin can definitly make 50 centuries. He has made 39 centuries and making another 11 centuries will not be tough for him. If he can play till 2008 then he can definitly make it.

I dont think so. Even if he is selected without passing any fitness test still he will not make 50 centuries. Its a remote possibility.
I personally like him as a player verymuch but now a days he is behaving unprofessional. He wants to be in the Indian team without giving the fitness test. The rules are relaxed only for him because he enjoys a good position in the Indian cricket team and International cricket.

Yes.

If injuries decrease to a great extent, then it is a small task for him to do 50 centuries in ODI's.

He is on 39 now and only 11 more for him to go there. He can play more than 75 (I thikn >100) matches till the end of the world cup. If he play till then with out the injuries, I am sure that he is going to do it.

The only problem he has is that he is getting injured and he should get fit for every match from now. He should do this and make Sanjay's mouth close.

Hope you understood this.

i think Dravid will begin to overpower him in the test side. Tendulkar just cant seem to find form at the moment.
