Vampires do exist. Many humans know about their existence, and vampires are just careful not to let everyone know about them. Also, vampires aren't actually like in the movies. I was told that they're technically human, but they drain others of psychic energy and/or have a need for blood. Real vampires aren't immortal, and they are able to live just as humans do. There's no way that a human can tell the difference between a vampire and a normal person.

Well think about it this way - if you saw a vampire, wouldn't you just assume that it was some guy/girl dressing up like one? There are people that claim to be vampires but aren't, they just want to live the lifestyle. If true vampires existed, would you as a human be able to tell the real from the fake on a dark night? If they are real, then they've probably gotten damn good over the centuries at keeping themselves hidden & destroying the evidence....

I don't know...that is a good question.
I am not sure how I feel on the subject. I have thought about it often though. I tend to lean toward believing that yes they do exist; however maybe not exactly how we as mortals think of them. I do agree that is they do exist they are rather withdrawn and keep to themselves most the time, either that or they have acclimated into blending in quite well with society.
Although I do believe that just because something can't be "factually" proven , hasn't been seen with the human eye, or is something we can't understand or conceive doesn't mean it isn't real...
I don't believe humanity has to prove it to be real for it too be, that is a bit arrogant on our part if we assume we have a monopoly on what is truth and what isn't.

I haven't decided on this one way or the other. The possibility of their existence is both a wonderful and terrible idea.
For the sake of argument lets say that they are real, and that there aren't very many of them. (sort of running from the assumption in Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles)
Their choice of victims would be their undoing. Who is going to notice a couple of bums going missing? Who is going to care if a felon who is in hiding doesn't come back to the surface to commit another crime? Mostly the answer is no one.
It is assumed that most vampires have some sort of telepathic abilities. This being said, would you remember if you had met one if they decided that you shouldn't?
Another thing to take into account is that people will see what they want to see. We have a way of ignoring the supernatural even if it is the most obvious answer to our questions. We have the ability to ignore almost anything until it affects us directly. Once something affects us directly we tend to explain things away because of our own fears or the fears of how others will perceive us.

Not nessecarily . . . if vampires existed I doubt they would be mass killing monsterous creatures of the night, with translvanian accents and tuxedos. I would guess they COULD walk around in daylight, and stakes? A drop of a building or a gunshot will do . . . try reading th Cirqe de Freak seires . . . it's about vampires . . . pretty good seires.

Not really, if they wanted to remain hidden. Besides, there are those who say that they do know that vampires exist. Most people just don't believe them. Kinda like aliens and UFOs.

That depends. Because if there were true vamps out there, the media would be all over it. Now as for the real life vamps that are out here, that is sucking out the funds from our credit cards and sucking up all the space on our couches when they are kicked out of their place is common enough.

Not if they were really sneaky, and obviously we know that they might exist, because we have heard stories.
People disapear all the time, never to be seen again, maybe they turned into vampires? You never know.

Of course mankind would have. It was just a myth. The Original Dracula was just a human who wanted to be different and he sharpened his teeth and tried to make his features seem evil so he'll be feared.
