just keep it moist with the lotion they gave you, and keep it clean. When you have a shower or bath, try not to soak it too much.

Whenever I get a new tat, I just use a mild soap with warm water on a wash cloth, gently wipe it clean and then re-apply the lotion.

Don't scratch, no matter how itchy it gets! You could pull of scabs and leave blank holes in the ink.

Emu oil is a great lubricant and healing lotion for your tatoo. Continue using it until the tatoo sets. Then use the left over emu oil to enhance the healling process of any small cuts or burns that you encounter in the future. It's a great product.

i dont know about emu oil, but i just used cocoa butter while it was healing (you can get the kind that comes in a stick, its very helpful! and not as greasy) then after that, you can use any unscented lotion, i think i used vaseline intense therapy on my first one. i don't really do anything to mine now (one is a year old and the other is 3 years old) and they are holding up well...oh yeah! make sure you use sunscreen on the area to prevent fading if you are going to be out in the sun with the tat exposed

You can use any water based lotions. Just keep it moisturized. And whatever you do DON"T PICK AT IT. unless you want to pull the ink out.
