We wonder the same thing when our boyfriends watch boxing and football all day-- watching the replays over and over and over again.

Not all women do that, but sometimes it's because the woman is searching for that "special thing" to make men really look at them. I don't do that. I go to a mall, I pick out 2 shops, and buy whatever nice things they have that I need. I'm not a shopaholic and prefer to get in there, get my stuff, get out. Why do men watch sports until they fall over? LOL The only time I've ever done more than 2 shops is if I've gone to a mall I've never seen before, but then I let the man go where ever he pleases so he isn't bored or I'll drive myself and let him nap, watch t.v., etc. Why do women drag men with them when they'll be gone so long? It's not fair to the man.

1. Shoes are serious business for us. *L*
2. We've come a long way, but let's face it we haven't evolved all that much. Men hunt. Women gather. Shopping is gathering.
3. I've convinced my husband that shopping can also be construed as hunting... hunting for the right shoes! *giggle*
4. Just be glad they were not shopping for a swimsuit... that takes several all day trips in most cases.
5. I try to be reasonable when I'm shopping and if I know it's going to be a marathon trip I usually suggest that hubby and kids split up and go check out something they're interested in and call them on my cell phone when I'm done.
6. The shopping process is something you'll have to adapt to or stay at home. Good luck!

Why did you agree to go? Maybe a man with no spine BELONGS with the girls in the mall shopping? Did you pay too? You know, I hate to sound evil, but I really hate it when people begin a declarative statement like this with "Why do YOU do this TO us?" You did it to yourself man... Deal! Next time, maybe you can spend hours under your car getting dirty and greasy or spend hours at a football game or online playing war games or any of the other assorted ignorant things men do that a woman would never be stupid enough to include herself in.

Next time... Stay home dummy!

and for "save_up_your_tears" up above me... If you would actually spend any time at all searching for some THING you really honestly feel you NEEDED, as in REQUIRED to make men look at you... and if anyone else feels that way too. I hate to say it, but society truely is in the sh*itter and Im all for a big flush!

I don't like shopping. I can't stand spending more than an hour in any store/mall. So don't think this is all girls. Tell your girlfriend and sister you'd rather not go shopping with them next time.

First of all, you should be happy that she wants to look perfect for you. When a girl spends ages shopping, it's because she's looking for something with that "X" factor. If she didn't dress so well, you'll probably not be going out with her in the first place.

Well, I know not to do it, because it just makes the guy resentful and cranky. Do you take her places she doesn't like? If you do, it's even. If you don't, maybe it's time to work out a trade. Or just let her know that you just get bored in the mall and you'd rather do something else, and you're okay with her having fun with her friends.

Just like this. Guys can just sit at a place and check out all the girls that come and go for hours and hours. It is just in the upbringing. Girls are brought up conservatively and so they tend to be cautious. They would not want to buy something and regret it.

I think shopping should be done apart. Just because you're couple doesn't mean you have to breathe in unison. Let them go shopping while you do something else.
