Not unless you decide you don't really want to do it. Sure you have to face reality and may not be able to pursue your dream as you first wanted, but I wouldn't just give it up or you will regret it later.

Sure, it is OK - sometimes your dream may not be the best thing for you - it is sort of God's way of telling you to go to plan B.
In time, when you look back you may realize that your plan B was what you should have been dreaming about all along.
Good Luck to you.

That depends on you and your dream. A lot of misery is caused by being unable to accept anything other than your "dream".
You have to search your own heart and decide for yourself whether you can go to "plan B" and still be happy.
There's certainly nothing wrong in moving on.

Except where you've made a commitment. When I say commitment, I'm talking about kids, marriage, job in the short term etc.
Other than that, many times it's stupid not to.
Especially when you find that :
The price is too high.
It's not as much fun as you thought it would be.
You're not happy.
Most dreams center around your own hapiness. If dream A isn't doing it, move on.

Absolutely. Sometimes a dream is empty, you had expectations that did not mirror reality. When I was a kid, I dreamed of becoming an astronomer or astrophysicist...but my math skills were dismal. My language skills were through the roof, so I became a science teacher. My new dream worked out very nicely.

No, don't ever give up. Go after what's in your heart. To answer your 2nd question- yes, of course it's possible to be happy with Plan B.

This is a very tricky question. We are taught, never to give up on our dreams. We are told that you have to be successful. The problem with dreams is that they can get fuzzy.
Dreams can mislead, misguide, distort reality, even cause death. I believe it is never ok to give up on a dream. Dreams give you hope, a will to live, longevitiy, an escape ; life.
However, like VANILLA SKY, you have to distinguish between your "LUCID DREAM" the one that is taking over our reality and reality.
Dreams fill our heads to give us something to look to. Dreams, make us work hard; but you have to check them.
You have to look at their reality. You have to see them for they are. Ask yourself "Are they feasible?" What is it that I have to do to get there? Who will be standing in my way?" Will I lose my life to get there?" What are the sacrifices? Remember anyone can dream, but those who think make them reality.
Everyone dreams to be an actor, an astronaut [ GATTACA ], always remember the cost. Reminds me of me wanting to be a model. For 18 years or so, I would pour through beauty magazines, LOOK at male models, go on off and on casting calls; I was told, I WAS TOO tall I'M 6'3! Too dark, just not their "type" now it has given me a complex that I'M NOW trying to get over.
Remember this acronym.
D- Drama
R- Retribution
E- Ending
A- Absolution
M- Memories
S- Sacrifice.
Then you have to live LIFE
L- Live
I- In
F- Full
E- Expectation
Then take your dreams, know your enemies and make them a reality.

Sometimes it's the best thing to do. Especially if your dreaming about poisoning the local water supply or ending the human race altogether. You can give up on that dream.

no because if you really dream of becoming a great person in the future then you really need to stick with what you dreamed if you want to be some one famous or some one important in life then stick with your dreams and never give up no matter what the causes is.

yes. Although we were told to never give up, if a dream is a little far fetched and we'll never make it, it would be the smart decision to move on.
