I have an 88 Grand Prix with a 2.8 I was wondering how I could boost the horsepower a little without any expensive gagets

Thanks for your responces. As for K&N filters I wont be using one of those, and on this car for some reason the person that had it before put wider lower tires on it, in my opinion if you wanted more horsepower you should stick with the stock tires, am I right?

The usual things are to get a K&N air filter (about $50 or so) and a performance exhaust system ($150-$500, depending on the car and exhaust). I don't know much about this Pontiac but you might think about getting lower, grippier tires. Sporty tires can help almost any car feel sportier.

Of course, tires and exhausts are not cheap, and even $50 for the K&N can hit hard for some people. If there was such a thing a free (or extremely cheap) horsepower, everyone would be doing it.
