I have a chilton 'total care manual' but they didn't list the torque specs. for the bottom end of the engine.

Thats odd, my chilton has the torque specs,c learances, etc etc etc in the engine overhaul section. The pages were probably ripped out of the manual. Go to www.saturnfans.com and use the search feature, there's a few posts about the torque specs there IIRC. Remember to include if it's a single cam or twin cam, IIRC the torque specs are slightly different.

either call your local saturn dealer or by a haynes repair manual the chiltons suck!

you should go 75-80-then 85, but I have also torqued them on 90 it will not hurt a bit .,,,,,,,,,,
