I would like to find something I've not seen that is as good as Akira and Ghost in the Shell in both story AND animation quality.

Spirited Away is excellent. But for something in english with good story line and animation quality I say the Anamatrix. I'm an animatrix whore.

Spirited Away. But you might want to check out Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and Appleseed. The visuals are great.

If you want Sad, watch Grave Of The Fireflies...so sad...
other good ones are Metropolis, Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke.
YES! Animatrix is THE THING especiialy that segement called "Beyond" amazing.

I'm sorry ...but I CANNOT stand Japanese film...or cartoons...they are "weird" Id rather have the old cartoons..Like Bugs Bunny ,,Porky Pig..Daffy Duck...Tom and Jerry....Japanese products I don't support in any way shape or form...only American products for me!!
