NOT the weak-minded. Ordinary honest people are most gullible. They always tell the truth and so believe that everyone else does.
Lots of things influence what people believe. Some other factors include the amount of stress the person is under and how much control the brainwasher has over the individual. (note how many people succumb to Stockholm Syndrome)
More... They say that if you tell a child something three times, he will believe it. With adults, it might take longer. I used to have a teacher who would not give a true-false test because she felt that if you see something in writing, you believe it. Notice how many respondants to this question believed that only the weak-minded could be brainwashed. They responded as though they believed it! All you did was put in writing "obviously the weakminded." Almost everyone believed it and responded accordingly.

They are weakminded due to their parents or whoever else raised them being weakminded. You can influence your children by the way you raise them and give them the information they need and the right morals to live a good life on this planet. All the weakminded people are usually religious people who need to crutch of religion to get along in this world. Brainwashed people are also weakminded and are also usually religious. Islam is the worst religion and muslims are therefore extremely weakminded people.

Actually, it isn't the weak-minded, as you stated. The ones most easily brainwashed are the ones who believe they are smarter, more intelligent, and more cunning than the one doing the brainwashing.
If you have done any research at all, the NSA, CIA, and the Defense Department all did studies on brainwashing, mind-bending, and mental influences for war far tactics. The minds most easily affected, manipulated, and re-programmed, were those individuals who had the highest levels of training and education but did not have any or very little spiritual or "faith-based" structure in their lives as children and adults.
Sorry, but faith, hope, and love will battle evil even when others try and rationalize their own strengths as being superior. When, in fact, they are only crutches to their hopelessness, their lack of faith, and their lack of trust in a power greater than themselves.

To be brainwashed, is to suggest programming of the mind.
Such programming is usually a repetitive influx of info where the mind believes the info as fact, as it has been exposed to the information so frequently.
To break the belief, a person must be willing to question the very substance of their own mind. I can think of a few reasons why someone may not be inclined to question what is in their mind.
1) Their life may be so comfortable, that they are not willing to question anything which may contradict their comfort zones.
2) Fear - such as with religions where a person is afraid to consider contradictions to their life long teachings, else they go to hell, or otherwise face punishment or even disowning from their family or government.
3) Lack of knowledge to the contrary.
4) Lack of mental capability to consider alternatives.
5) Personality traits which make it difficult for a person to even consider that their current view points are wrong. (ego).
And then there is always greed, envy, ...etc.

Tell anyone what they want to hear, whether it's true or not, and they will believe you. Welfare mothers drive Cadillacs. President Bush loves you and is against killing. If you don't have to pay taxes, you will be rich. Play the lottery and get rich. Sue somebody and get rich. Work from home and get rich. The government has money for you for free.
As Heinlein used to say, TANSTAAFL. Anyone who thinks there IS a free lunch in easily brainwashed. "Weak" mind is not the issue. "Greed" mind, ah, yes.

Everyone is easily brainwashed, no matter how strong-minded one may think they are.
For instance, those who rebel, are influened by people like JOAN OF ARC, RUDY GALINDO, VENUS AND SERENA WILLIAMS. These are people who defy the norm and people, say; I want to be different. Then you have your leaders: Neil Armstrong, JFK, Dare I say it: Hitler. People still imitate them wanting to be these grandiose people.
Everyone believes that brainwashing is this simple task or chore, that only the weak-minded are taken advantage. Wake-Up everyone we all are products of the big "S"-
Society.

superstitious people usually. I have noticed something amazing though, educated people and people who "think" they are superior in intelligence are very easily brainwashed. Look at the Germans in Hitler's day, and look at liberals now.

people who only pay attention to their own tiny little lives. people who blame others for their problems. people who chose convenience over honor. Beware, o washer of brains. if you go down that path you will surely meet a stronger brainwasher and be taken.
