Since everyone else already mentioned how much easier it is to break down carbs, I'll just add in that carbs are your on-hand supply of energy; your body burns carbs first.

one can be converted to the other easily. carbs go fast through citric acid cycle, but lipids can't get in so they are stored

this si because fat stores energy..thats why too many carbs increases lipids(fat) but it is imortant to get the right amount

lipids are fats which break down into fatty acids and glycerol...so the enery can be stored in the many different chains

Carbs beyond a certain point are not stored in the body...fats can be stored in unlimited quantities...
