Hostel is a movie that could have been really good, if only it had been written well. Supposedly based on truth (Eli Roth tells about a web site that said that for $10,000, you could shoot someone in the head in Thailand, or something similar) it is the story of two American students who are backpacking around Europe and staying in youth hostels. But in some eastern European backwater, there is a group that abducts young travelers and uses them for rich peoples sadistic toys. The movie had the opportunity to be very dark and chilling but struck out by being mainly just gory. And the writing stunk, if I didn't already mention that.

Slightly mixed up Nikki-Nicola: You have hostel, they can be Youth Hostels, where young people get cheap accommodation usually when they are back-packing on holiday. Some large towns have Hostels - like the YMCA - where young men can get cheap accommodation for a period whilst seeking a permanent place to live.
Now a Hospice is a totally different place. It is generally speaking where people who have terminal illnesses, ie. Cancer., can be taken for round the clock observation. The staff are specialists in the field of pain control and many people believe that they make death a peaceful transition. They may be religious or not.
Hopefully, in 'Hostels' people do not die...................

I believe you might be slightly confused, so far, there has only been one movie called Hostel (*as far as I know, even if there is one in production, it's not completed yet, let alone available). Check out Quentin Tarrintino (sp) web site!

it is about a group of men who go to europe or somewhere like that and get killed by some sick maniacs running a business allowing other sick people to live out there murder fantasies i can't remeber how all of them die but it's sick and they definitely suffered......didn't know there was a second one just got the first.
