A 2 month old should be feeding on demand.. it could be every 2-3 hours, it could be every hour. Depends on the baby. They could take 6 oz or they could take less.

There's no true answer to this question. All babies are different. Some are small eaters and others big eaters. My baby at 2 months was drinking 4 oz. of formula every 1 1/2 hours to 3 hours. He is 3 months old now and still drinks the same. I have added oatmeal to his formula and i started giving him stage 1 baby food. My neice who is 6 months old is drinking only 5 oz., so thers no real saying how much formula they SHOULD be drinking. As long as it seems like a reasonable amount to where they are getting enough nutrition it should be o.k.

My 2 month old was eating about 4 ounces every 4 hours. By the time she was 3 months, she was up to 6 months and the pediatrician even suggested we started her on cereal. Every baby is different, but one way to make sure that your baby is getting enough is by making sure your baby has between 5-8 wet diapers a day with a stool every to every other day.

2 months???? Watch for the signs. They are putting their fingers in their mouths and things of that nature. At 2 months they are still taking just formula(depending on your culture) We sometimes give our children cereal in their bottles before they go to sleep. They should be out of the eating every two hours to maybe like 4 or 5; after naps. It really depends on your child. Some eat more & some eat less. Oh, they would probably be drinking about 5 ounces, more or less.

At 2 months of age my daughter would eat 2oz (sometimes 4oz) about every 2 hours and nap about every 2 hours for about 30 minutes.

Babies eat when they're hungry and don't when they're not. They should be taking no more than 32 oz of formula a day or breastfeeding generally every 3 hours.
Is the baby gaining weight? If you're concerned, call your pediatrician and ask for an appointment just to weigh the baby.

Every child is different...all I can say is how mine ate...she's 9 months old now. At 2 months I had to start her one baby cereal twice a day. I breast feed although she was growing fine and everything she didn't seem satisfied. She nursed every few hours ...sometimes for an hour. Look up on baby sites...they'll be able to give you a better idea.

This would vary by child, ask your doctor. My son was a glutton, he woke up and demanded to be fed every two hours and nursed like it was his last meal! My daughter, on the other hand, had to be woken up every few hours and 'force-fed' as she would often sleep through and fall asleep during feedings - food just wasn't very important to her, even now (she's 18), she doesn't eat a whole lot, though she is healthy and it's no big deal to her if she skips a meal, tho my son (22) acts like he'll die if he's not fed NOW!!!

My daughter was a big eater from the day she was born. Everyone always had an opinion on how much and how often I should feed her. If you are the parent...you just know. You know when your baby is hungry...it's instinct. You know you would never try to overfeed or starve the baby...you do what you think is best.

how ever much they want. babies will eat until they are full so if you make them a bottle and they finish it make a little bit more or if your breastfeeding make sure the baby stays awake while eating otherwise they'll wake up in like 20 minutes b/c they are hungry. they should be fed every 4 to 5 hours.
