why is the israeli media more critical of israel then the u.s. media?

just read their reports. they are much critical of themselves than we are of them. shouldn't we be at least as critical? aren't they more expert on israel than us?

Because it is bad form for an American (or even just non-Jew) to critisize Israel. It makes you look anti-semetic... I think thats silly, but people haven't gotten over their Holocaust guilt (even though the ones involved are mostly dead).
