The Spurs have a really good shot at winning the championship.
They have virtually all the pieces for a shot at another title run. The have the inside man in Tim Duncan, the unselfish and scrappy guard in Tony Parker and the hustle of Manu Ginobili. I think that they are just a solid small forward away from being a lock to win the NBA championship.

I like the spurs, but I LOVE the HEAT.
i feel that the Spurs are an extremly good team, and were robbed of the chance to be in the 2006 finals (but I am happy the mavs went cause the spurs would of been harder to beat). Anyway I think that the Western Conference Champs will be the spurs or the suns. I see one of the two in the finals vs. my team, the heat. that would be and extremely difficult challenge for the heat to face. GO HEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't see them even making it past the Mavs or the Suns. The Suns will be there next year - no way the Mavs beat them if Stoudamire is healthy & on the floor.
EDIT: Haven't been near the championship for 40 years? I seem to recall them winning it all in 1999, 2003 & 2005.

You can't know that answer until April 2007. The fall schedule won't start until November. I watched the Rocky Mountain Review - 12 rookie teams. Spurs rookies did well. Dallas did too. Utah Jazz did well. Look for the Utah Jazz to be a much better team next season.

I think from top to bottom they are the best in the league and have been since the Lakers fell apart. More than likely they'll be the favorites going in and might be out for Dallas. If they get to the Finals they probably will win. Duncan has dominated Shaq for his career and Bowen will be a lock on Wade. Then you have Ginobili and Parker whom the Heat have no one on their team to guard these 2.

NO the spurs aren't going to win they are missing a lot of things and they just cant put the finishing touches so i would definitely say without a doubt that they wont win it this year but maybe in the far future but dont put your hopes up!

I think they'll be one of the top 3 or 4 teams again. But it just seemed they were missing something last year, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Greg Popovich will though, and they'll be back at the top.

I think they have a good chance at winning it. I have them as one of the top three teams but they have to come back healthy. They had chance last year but but everybody was banged up.
