Thin legs are much better for basketball because you are much quicker with lighter legs. My legs are too muscular and that is why I have slow footwork.

You have to find a healthy medium depending on the position you play

If you're a point guard who doesn't really need to dunk down people's throats, thin legs will help you move faster

If you're a center who needs to post up and take hits, you need muscular legs for a good drop step, box out, or just so it doesn't hurt as much when other muscular legs are kicking at you

If you're a small forward who likes to screw with people by doing everything you can aim for inbetween. You have the speed to drive into the basket and the muscles to wreck rims

Muscular legs are the advantage because that's what u use most to get up and the court and just jog for about 30 mins to get stronger or do some squats.

It depends, if you mean by thin legs as being boney without any muscel, then they will be more likely to break their legs and or injure them in one way or another. Muscular legs can also be a hinderment since they can slow you down. Being in shape, with the ability to run and jump better than your opponet is the best way to be.

You don't want thin, you want muscular. Trained muscle. Doing jump programs (or just doing stuff like jump rope) will quicken your feet, and then your strong muscular legs will give you that explosive takeoff, both running down the floor, and jumping up to grab the board/block the shot.

So don't try to "thin" your legs--just train them properly.
