I'm all for flying the US flag anytime any day. We are granted many freedoms that other countries only wish for, though i see a lot of ignorance in our part though. I see a lot of americans get mad when anyone has a flag from a different country, wether is a flag, sticker, license plate or what have you. But these same americans are the ones that would go to another country and fly the US flag expecting it to be just fine and dandy, call me ignorant but is that not hypcritical of them? Express yourself as you wish in America, but when outside of America, respect that nations will?

Here Here! Say it the way it is sister. Americans to their ever lasting ignorance have learned the wrong lessons from their own history. My education on this matter came free of charge being a member or the Air Force and serving in various countries.
I saw things overseas like I had never seen before.
I saw a man wallowing in a puddle of water in the center of a busy market and people just walk around the person. Where I grew in California, people did not walk around other people laying on the ground without anyone caring.
I saw a Thai police officer lean into a cab and take the keys out of the ignition and walk away leaving me, buddies and the cab driver in the middle of the street in a dead cab.
The driver immediately started rocking and chanting in a sorrowful way because he was obviously in very serious trouble with the law. We GI's had jumped in front of the cab and forced it to stop and then we jumped in. That was when the cob appeared.
Prostitution was everywhere in Asia. Just all over the place, but I had never seen prostitution before in California. But when I got out of the military, came home to California and found all the things I thought were not happening in America. I was both blind and ignorant to the reality in America.
Lots of Americans live in a dream state disspite that fact that they are senior citizens, held a job all their lives and were educated through at least High School,
But, humans can and do see what they want to see and ignore what contradicts their beliefs and prejudices.
So the answer is Yes on both counts.

The only time i really have a problem with foreign flag waving is when illegals do it,simply because, they want to protest for rights they don't have, then waive the Mexican flag during the protesting.I know many Americans do this on foreign shores, but i never would(for me it is a decorum thing). That would be like bringing a Qur'an into a christian church. They might not say anything, but it is just plain tasteless.

I think that America does have a slight intolerance to other countries patriotism in their own country. Its fine to love your country and beliefs but i think sometimes we are all guilty of pointing the finger and saying "what you believe is wrong, what i believe is it." And i think thats sad considering its because of radical thought like that that we have terrorism.

Both, Americans seem to think they are better than everyone else. Doesn't matter where they are, it's a shame they can't be humble and accept others as they are.
