Yes they are legitimate news. You just need to know the difference when you're watching news as compared to opinion. For example, Sean Hannity and Alan Combs do not claim to be unbiased. There's is not so much a news program then a thought provoking debate program. Bill O'reilly on the other hand is news. Some disagree but really, the rightys think he's a lib and the libs think he's a righty. He's neither. He doesn't sell out for any party. People are smart and they see that and that's why his show is consistantly number one in the news ratings.

Fox is predominantly a propaganda organization, not a news organization. They skillfully mix news with inarguable values such as God, freedom and Democracy in order to subtely present a Republican spin as truth. Fox is headed by Roger Ailes, who has been staging political events since Nixon's days. He developed the Willie Horton ads for Bush Sr. and is particularly adept at political manipulation - not facts. Fox is no more legitimate than Jeff Gannon, the fake reporter planted at press conferences to ask favorable questions whenever the the going got too tough for the White House Press Secretary.

If you don't see left wing bias in the network news, you are not listening to what they are saying.

Fox only 'reports' in their short reporting segments... Their main programming consists of 'commentators' who attempt to influence and "guide" the viewer.... in that, they are the same as CNN, ABC, CBS, and the others. But if you want a truly illegitimate news source, try Al Jazeera, truly a spinning wheel.

By the way, what ever gave you the impression that Fox is a conservtive news org? At the very least, their presentations are a little left of center.... and as opinionated as any.

Well for starters, Fox tends to label their opinions as such... the mainstream doesn't and the large part of the mainstreams "news" is in fact their opinions.
Fox is a legitimate news source because its different from the others. Its also granted more legitimacy due to the shills and whinings by liberals and their drooling sycophants in the mainstream press.

It's ALL opinion.Conservatives LIVE on opinions.Facts destroy them. That's why since America has gone looking for more facts in the past year they've decided to clean house this November!

Faux "news" is right-wing propaganda. If it was news, like the regular news is news,it wouldnt be such an issue.

News and views are intrinsically connected. Facts are sacred but comments are free. That is how the mass media operate in a healthy democracy.

Their evening shows are opinion based. Many of the segments have spokespeople from two sides. Giving it a "Fair and Balanced" view.

In addition, there are frequent news segments during these shows.
