I have read (i don't know how true this is) that it is for possible sexual harrassment. ESPN is not commenting, so no one knows for sure. He was a nice guy and if it is for this reason, it will surprise me more than his being fired.

I did not know he got fired. Now that I know I will find out why. You are right when you said that he was one of the best that they had. I hope enough people complain that they will bring him back.

Being the best guy on Baseball Tonight is equivalent to being the smartest guy in the slow class.
That whole show is a lineup of idiots. Still, I'm surprised they started with the one guy who was likable, even if he said stupid things.
