Fear never leads you to a good place. The only thing to fear is fear itself. Don't let it take root in your life, challenge it, do things in spite of it! Kick it out of your heart, it doesn't belong there!

Fear of rejection could lead to a clingy person who tries to please people and will do anything to belong to a group. This can be really bad because some groups would make people do bad things, like smoke or drink or have sex, and the person would have no courage to leave the group.

The fear of rejection should lead a person to a psycologist, where the issue can be coped with and conquered.

It could lead one in many directions, depending on the type of personality. It could prevent one from launching out because of fear of hurt; it could challenge one to reject it because it is in the mind and has to do with perceptions not reality; it could let one know how it feels and then create empathy for those in ones life that you see rejected by others...it can be a wonderful teacher.

In any situation that makes me fearful or nervous I always think of the worst possible scenario... tripping as I'm crossing the stage... forgetting my speech... having my dress tucked into the back of my pantyhose or toilet paper stuck to my shoe...*laugh* Let's face it the possibilities are endless... but whether it's a job interview or getting turned down when asking for a date... it's all survivable. If you think of the worst case scenario and figure out what you'd do in that event... what you'd say or do to get through it... and it makes you more confident and more goof proof if you know in advance you'll get through it no matter what.
