Walk. A lot! Try walking up and down some stairs too. Or you can see if your OB/GYN could induce your labor early.

I was told by a labor and delivery nurse that it's not just "sex" that works. It's sex with ejaculation and orgasm three times within a span 24 hours. (Course, I was so exhausted by that point in the pregnancy that I couldn't manage it.)
Really, though, it's not going to make much of a difference what you do at home. That baby is going to make his or her appearance when he's darn good and ready and only the doctor or complications have any influence on that. Our daughter showed up on the day before my due date after Braxton-hicks and several l&d visits over the course of about two months.
Definitely research any suggestions that you get. Ask you OB or midwife about anything you're thinking about trying. There are some "natural labor induction methods" out there that could be down right dangerous.
I know it gets especially tough right there toward the end. I just kept thinking about the day I would finally get to see her and not all the days before. I spent the last two months getting her things ready and trying to store up some sleep (yeah, right!). I got through and the day she finally arrived was wonderful! You'll get through... just try to be patient.
Good luck!

How far along are you? Try to relax and trust your body. Your body and your baby will know when it is time. If your body isn't ready, nothing you do will work. You'll just make yourself frustrated and stressed out. Instead, try to relax and enjoy these last days of your pregnancy. (After all, babies are much easier to care for in the womb!) Remember: ALL babies Do eventually come out.
If you are uncomfortable, do some pelvic rocking. It will encourage baby into a good position and may relieve some of your discomforts.
Go get a massage. Look for a massage therapist who does cranial sacral therapy if possible. Having a massage will relieve some of your discomforts, balance your body (which will make labor easier) and help you relax. (You may even learn some relaxation techniques for labor.)
Consider having a chiropractic adjustment. Again, this will balance your body and may make you more comfortable and make labor easier.
You can use evening primrose oil (EPO) to help ripen your cervix. It WILL NOT start labor, but it may help to prepare your body. Take 2 capsules and insert them near your cervix right before bed. If you want, you can prick them with a pin and squeeze the oil out on your cervix.
Walking may help your baby to drop down into your pelvis.
Sex can help. Prostaglandins in semen can help to ripen your cervix. Orgasm can bring on contractions which could turn into labor if your body is ready.
Spend some time pampering yourself. Go get a haircut or get your nails done. You won't have time for this kind of stuff after the baby arrives.

I would not do this. Back within the day it used to be used for spontaneous abortions now referred to as miscarriages however utilized by the ladies that didnt desire to stick pregnant. Please do not do it simply allow nature take its path; if no longer allow the medical professionals manage it through inducing you. I understand your fearful however simply be sufferer. The conception at the back of Castor Oil inducing hard work, is that the relief explanations diarrhea cramps through frustrating the tender muscle groups of the gut. This inflammation is handed to the uterus, that's a tender muscle, as good. Irritation of the uterus raises the prostaglandin degree, leading to contractions and hard work. Castor Oil begins the diarrhea 2 to 6 hours after ingesting the oil. The contractions will have to start in a while after that. Hell for all that devour a shot load of chocolate, drink chocolate milk and devour cake, or take a laxative.

I have been doing alot of pregnancy reading since I am pregnant again! ( my twins are 14 and I have no other kids) Most all of the book say that strting your own labor can be bad. Over stimulation the nipples can bring all sorts of complications as well as some of the old fashioned home remedies. Your doctor is the best one to determine when and if it is time to be induced.......No woman in the history of the world stayed pregnant forever ( although it seems that way sometimes!) LET NATURE TAKE IT'S COURSE.

I agree with the walking tip. It worked for my wife on all 3 kids. She didn't do stairs as suggested here - just walked around the house a lot more than usual - almost pacing, really.
That and she drank a lot of water, for some reason. I don't know if she was worried about hydration during labor or if it had something to do with pressure on the bladder or on the baby or whatever, but water and walking was the trick for us.

Well first off baby come when they want to come. You can try a number of things though. I've heard that squatting, as silly as it may sound, will push the baby in the canal, you know gravity helps you on that one. I also heard that hot and spicy food provoke labor, but that may also bring on heartburn, so beware of that one. If you are days late, your obgyn can induce labor for you, and it's done at the hosptal, so you are all ready for your new bundle of joy.
Good luck

Why in the world would you want to start labor before your baby is ready to be born? If there was a medical reason as to why you must go into labor now, you'd be in the hospital and they would induce labor for you. But if it's that important to you, try jogging. When I was due to have my daughter, my water broke but the 'labor' wouldn't start, my doctor had me jog or walk fast around the maternity ward to 'coax' my daugher into action.

A friend of mine used accupuncture to induce labor. I don't know too much about it, I've never tried it myself but it worked for her! (we think.) It might have just been coincidence but after the accupuncture session she was told she would go into labor within the next 24 hours. She had a beautiful baby boy the next day!

I have done told you to get with your OB doctor about this. Stop seeking advice from those online...you are only doing more harm than good with the background you gave yesterday.
So get off the computer, pick up the phone...better yet, get in your car and drive yourself over to your OB doctor's office/clinic and talk to them about this.
Sorry if it sounds mean/harsh but someone needs to be some tone in this because you are asking for something that will start on its own and plus you mentioned a scheduled C section per request your doctor.
So go talk to your doctor ASAP.

Castor oil? You could have a baby that defecates inside the water sac and causes toxicity to itself doing things like that!
You'd better tell your doctor what you've done and stay away from old wives tales.
