He probably did not attend the funeral because he did not have underwear or clothes to wear. And also maybe he was too embarrass to ask you then because of the death of your brother. If he needs the help, why don't you help him. After all, if it was your brother would you want someone to help you. You might can give him some of your brother clothes, if that's possible. But first check to see if he really needs the help. There are so many scammers in the world. Sorry for your loss and Good luck.

WHY the bloody hell is he coming to YOU for clothes?
Just because he did not come to your brother's funeral is not a reason to refuse help.
Some people just don't feel good or comfortable at a funeral.
Do not let this stop your friendship or whatever it is...
BUT I do wonder why he is asking you at all for clothes!
He sounds like YOUR CHILD not just a GUY!
Anyone that close to you, you really should mend the problem of him not being at the funeral...but if he is not that close don't buy him clothes!

He obviously is in need of the basics and if he were in the same situation during the funeral, I can imagine he didn't want to embarrass anyone by his appearance...if it was a more selfish reason I could understand your disappointment but under these conditions helping him out now may allow him to make more appropriate decisions later.

Yes
Find him some women's underwear, kid's shoes, ripped jeans, and flamingly homosexual pink shirts.
Make sure he wears the clothes out instead of carrying it in a bag. You should offer to hold his old clothes.
Once he steps outside, jet with his clothes.
Leave him looking like a moron in the mall.
That'll teach him!

You are not obligated to. He can go to the Salvation army thrift store or some cheap clothing outlet and get those things. I would really say to you to not give him anything. Don't be so soft-hearted in this area when it isn't called for.

i know it hurts and you must be angry at him. but maybe he had a good reason for not coming. also he has had the courage to write to you and he obviously really needs your help so maybe you should put what has happened in the past and try to help him.
