I think that people on this site and in general are cheating/thinking about cheating and doing things that considered borderline cheating alot more than they let on. There are alot of self rightous people on this site and as they say "let those without sin cast the first stone", there would be alot more people keeping their mouths shut if we could actually see their faces. This is a free world, if you are unhappy and you need extra spice in your relationship and you are an adult and able to make up your own mind, go ahead and do it, it is not for everybody, but other people shouldn't be so judgemental.

Some species of animals mate for life. To some of us marriage is sacred. We pledge our live, love and loyalty to one person. We plan on keeping that. I don't happen to think my marriage is stagnant. I refuse to engage in extramarital activities because I respect my partner. If I was going to sleep around, what is the point in getting married? I don't view my son as a need to perpetuate the human race. There are enough unwanted children floating around, do we really want to add to that with sleeping around? I view my son as an extension of the love I have for my husband.

Actually, we as humans do have the capability to mate for life... it's called intellect. While we feel the need to procreate, we don't do it indiscriminately.. we choose who we want to be with. We don't "mate" with each other because we are "in season" or "in the rut", or because we "smell good". You used the word evolution in your question.. evolution means evolving... I think the human race had evolved beyond having to mate like animals!
p.s. there are some animals out there that do mate for life. Flamingos mate for life.
Please don't use evolution for your caveman habit!

evolution? seriously are you going to start blaming cheating on biology? if we were stictly regulated by biology there would be lines of adult men at every junior high school waiting to take advantage of little girls who have just recently gained sexual maturity. This is not permissible becuase part of being human is being able to overcome whatever individual evolutionary inclinations we may have in favor of an evolutionary standard that serves the interest of the social structure in which we live....

Maybe, but overcoming that impulse is good for the soul--at least in my experience. Before you admire other systems, you might want to check out the status of women in those societies.
If, in your life, women are only good for their entertainment value, then evolution will eventually give you an excuse to do what's on your mind. But if women mean something more than that, then you're going to need to be something more than a servant to your urges.

I wouldn't never cheat becasue she is more to me than some chick walking by with a nice body. What did you get married for? I would get married because I want to raise kids and have a great relationship with my wife through tough times and great times. I think we all have the ability to make it work but if you aren't willing to pursue that then don't get married and stay single until your that way you don't have to worry about the stagnant relationship. Seriously your woman usually recipricates you, so if your aren't willing than she won't be. You don't try to appeal to her she won't try to appeal to you. Take a stand and be a Proud married man that satisfied everything his wife could ever want. It all starts with you, and your motives.

Okay, this just sounds like a good rationalization to justify your behavior. It's and wrong and just plain dangerous (STD wise).
God does want you to take a wife and be fruitful but I don't believe that meant lovers, one night stands, etc.
Besides how would you feel if your wife or girlfriend messed around on you? Double standard possibly?

You could blame it on the fact that this country was founded by Puritans, but c'mon. Marriage is about giving up everyone else, and devoting yourself to just one person, regardless of urges. RESPECT. If you can't do that, then you don't deserve the rest of the perks of marriage.
